Miller Thunderbolt 225AC

Post by S_Kyle »

Looking for an opinion here. I was offered a Miller Tunderbolt stick welder new in the box for a 1/3 of the retail on it. The guy got it at a DU event and dosen't need it so he said a couple hundred and it's mine. I figured I couldn't go wrong with so I bought it.

Anyone have/used this series of welders. Good and or bad point's guys?

I have used a stick welder before and I can tell you that they can turn into a cutting apparatus pretty quickly if you use too much heat. My Dad has an old Lincoln Tombstone and the thing works mint. Better for heavy gauge stuff though.

I can weld to a point. I was asking about the thunderbolt series of welders themselves. I learnt the hard way about to much heat when I learned how to weld, still hate the sound of tubing when you have gone through the wall.
