My 1980 Liquifire has 600miles. Has sat around alot but we are trying to get it up and running. Starts well, idles well, accelerates and rides well, then warms up and out she goes - seems to cut back to one cylinder.
Any suggestions -

My guess is bad end seals. Has this only been out once or does this happen every time? My first 80 SF I got would not keep running unless I had the choke half way but then no power eather. It would start but then just fall on her face. I pulled the motor and sure enough it was missing half of the PTO side seal not good. Now I got a couple more Sf that had sat for awhile and one of them ran great and the other would loose power just like yours after I ran it for a few (2-3) miles so I did the old starting flued check and again it was the PTO side end seal. I pulled the motor and this time the seal was all there but there was a small crack in the rubber seal. Now If your going to do the starting fluid check make sure you spray all you seals of the motor to make sure its not just the end seals it could be the rubber carb. boots. Also when the motor starts to fall on its face flip the choke on to see if it kicks back in to 2 cylinders and gets the power back.
