4/6 cylinders on Liquifire

Post by Mean Green »

Yep, those 4/6 cylinders from kingocean are killing me. I have a NOS set of pistons accidentally won on ebay (Crap exchange) last season that are sitting on the shelf as I have been hoping to find a 1980 LTD engine to throw in my "parts" sled to see how it runs all in the name of deere-ology. Now there are a pair of cylinders only up for grabs, and my question is, will just the pistons/cylinders bolted to a Liquifire bottom end with single plug heads and stock exhaust boost performance? I know you must use the correct pistons on the 4/6 engine as the skirts are different for the extra ports. Hmmmmm......I have never heard of anyone trying this, or even putting the whole thing in, twin plug heads, ignition and all in a Liquifire. If this works, I might have to paint it silver with some 340 Trail stickers on it and an old duct taped seat I have!! Please respond if you have any info on this unusual swap. Thanks in advance!!! I ran them on my Liquifire back in the 80s. Can't remember what I did for pistons. I still have the heads and ignition. I have them on a 81. No great gains in performance but the dual plug heads look cool. Peter
