I was working on a engine tonight and noticed that on the back side of the fan belt a mouse had chewed a 1" long section and about a third of the way through. Those damn mice!
I put a new belt on but it just goes to show that one must check everything.

I'm restoring a sled for a guy and rodents packed the fan shroud and the entire inside of the engine full of sunflower seeds and insulation. As mad as you get, you have to marvel at how small of a space they can get into.

Built a nest inside my F8 Cat last year that held the trottle at wide open... I thought the dealer was off his rocker when he called to tell me what the problem was.
