Tygon Fuel Line?

Post by 79 Spitfire »

Who uses this stuff and is it good? I picked some up and got it on the sled today and was just wanting some reviews.

Tygon is the best I know of for fuel line. 4040 is the formula I use. it doesn't get brittle and hard. and you can see the fuel flowing too. The only downside is sometimes those spring clamps don't clamp tightly due to the thickness of the wall of the fuel line. Great stuff though.

McMaster Carr sells it. They are great to deal with and super fast shipping!

I agree Tygon is the best. Stays flexible in cold weather and holds up great.

I always use zip ties to secure the line on fittings. They work great and no leaks!

U.S. Plastics in Lima, here too. I use the 1/2" Tygon on my beer brewery in the garage and 3/16" Tygon on my chainsaw engines. I do try to avoid messing with beer and chainsaws at the same time though!

We use tygon at the enginnering lab I work at on test engines and its really good stuff! Not the hot ticket for race fuel though...softens up the rubber. Just an FYI!
