Well I must be bored or an idiot but I just got this 85 Ski-Doo Formula MX for free. It runs pretty good but looks like crap...This is what I will be working on just to get it riding nice for my other family members when they come over. Check out the trailing arm in the picture, not very good fabrication by the previous owner!

Theres nothing wrong with getting a Free sled even if it isn't a jd. Looks like a project though.

Fixed the trailing arm yesterday, retaped the taped seat , primed it 3 times and it fired right up. Started checking why the track was wearing bad on both side so I adjusted the track started it up and spun the track and it started moving back and forth? After having a stiff drink and kicking the dog I noticed there was not any track clips ,where did they go? Out of 116 there where only 3 left. Those clips are expensive if you need 116 (1.00 each) Oh well this one is gone on the side burner. Wonder why they put clips on instead of using the rubber of the track like my JD and Kawi,s.

Take it apart and ebay it youll probably get a decent buck for a running lc motor and more money for anything else worth selling. Then you will have some cash to buy another deere or some other sled your after.
