295/s Progress

Post by Cabindweller »

As some of you might remember I stumbled apon a 295/s close to home last spring. The kick in the pants was that the motor was swapped for a 340CCW. At the time I felt like there was little hope that I would ever find a motor for it. Persistance has paid off and as of now I have all the nessasary correct parts to put together a motor with the exception of one piston. I have one NOS piston. I have found all my parts a few at a time and would like to thank all of you that have helped me so much to this point. If anyone has a NOS or even a good used piston for the 295/s I would be forever in your dept. I have been considering the Yamaha piston deal but the guy that is going to put this motor together for me sugested I spend the money on the right piston vs machine work, that should give you an idea that I am willing to pay. In the next few weeks I am going to get started on the resto of the chassis and have a good friend of mine on standby to do the paint. Getting pretty excited.

Jerry

Here are a few pictures of the motor. As I get into the chassis I will put up some more.

Great score! and almost there! Another member is bidding on a complete 295s engine so maybe there might be some extra piston available soon!! Good luck, Dave P
