Normally we don't ride this long but it's been snowing here since Saturday morning. Temperature is about minus 10 to minus 15. One last chance to do some sledding before storing for the breaking out the fishing rods.

My son's F/A El Tigre did this same thing. We found that the crankcase was filling with fuel and was interfering with the impulse line. We solved it by disconnecting the impulse line and purging the crankcase of all excess fluids.

Could be your tach is not accurate. Espescially if the machine runs good and seems to have good power. Could also try unplugging the rev limiter and see if that helps.
