Re: JD 295s gaskets

I haven't but would do it without hesitation , the 295 has a 56 mm bore and the 340 is 60 that's 4mm difference I realize but should be a non issue. Wade

Re: JD 295s gaskets

Matt can get you gaskets for a 340/5 like in a Jdxspec 4 special , they aren't exact and the head gasket bore diameter will be a little big on the gasket ,otherwise would be correct. Custom gaskets from cosmetic are terrific but costly

Re: Tuning by EGT

Actually your question is " the question". Everyone has a different thought on what temp is ideal or too hot. Years ago we ran chat gauges on 5 hp Briggs and much over 350 degrees I think and trouble was near you are getting along ok at 550? With egts I've paid more attention to them then ...

Re: Dual Carb/CDI JDX Sleds

Also been messing wi...

Re: Help, before I make a Mistake I regret screw removal

The timing ring holes aren't threaded, I think they are slotted which provides for adjustment of ignition timing I wouldn't use heat on aluminum I've never had good results with that , I'd bet you could find someone to trade you /22 blocks for /21 blocks as the 21s has fairly low production numbers ...

Very cool of Polaris to donate it to the hall of fame , no one can enjoy it stuck in a semi trailer. It is a piece of Jd snowmobile history .
