other than john deere my race team runns kawasaki invaders. we are in need of another 17 tooth top gear for ideal gearing for ice oval racing, according to most of the tracks we race. i am wondering if anyone has one that they are willing to part with, if so, it would be greatly apreciated!!! thanx

i will have to figure out how to post pics and do that. the sled is almost done, it is painted mostly jd green, yellow and black. i have to hussle and finish it cuz i want to test and tune on the lake this weekend.

it is for racing sprint ovals. (yeah that would be pretty wild just for out on the trail. :o) i am building the sled for a 440mod/open class so im gonna need all i can get.

i was wondering if anyone has had to put a torque bar on your sleds(race)? i fired my motor for the first time last nite, and the motor twists quite a bit. i have all new motor mounts and they cant hold it down. i have an idea for the torque bar but i was wondering if somebody that has done it or se...

now i understand peter, thanx for explaining the carb thing to me. i apreciate your input!
and as for my teammates 440faner, if the motor is built for it and thats where it creates the most power why not spin it up that far?

:) my teammate has been spinning his 440 fan (kawi) at 9600-9750 rpm for 2 seasons and havent touched the motor. thats no sh!t! hey peter do you say this cuz of all the fuel sloshing arroun in the bowls?

these are 40mm non powerjet carbs, and the motor will spin 9000 to 9200 rpm, with twin open pipes. from the way the motor was built and what we are using it for i dont think 40s are too big. but i could be wrong.

the main rails are alluminum but all the rest is heavy steel with gussets every where. its literally built like a tractor!!
