Hi-
Do you happen to have the two tapered sheaves and bolt that connect steering shaft to rack?

Are 1972 KEC340 Condensors Interchangeable?

Does anyone know if the two condensors are interchangeable? The JD manual lists two separate part nos., but I have only been able to find one of the part nos. available for purchase, so wondering if I can use two of the same part no. I'm thinking there might be two part numbers because they are colo...

Need Part Numbers for KEC340 condensors

Hi-

I am struggling to find ignition condensors for my '72 400 (KEC340 w/ Kokusan ign.).

I am told that the JD part nos. are AM52373 and AM52374. sledparts.com has some ccw condensors, but they are listed by OEM nos. 18-000-492 and 740. Can anyone provide some insight?

Thanks,
John

I'm having a p...

Re: Need Help Please - No Spark on 340KEC

Thanks for your help Brian. I already swapped the wires connecting the external coils, and determined that the problem is under the flywheel (I used to be afraid to remove the flywheel, now I can do it in my sleep :) Have you ever heard of a condensor going bad? Is there a way to test it? I will re-...

Need Help Please - No Spark on 340KEC

Hi- I'm hoping someone can help, as I'm running out of ideas. I have a 1972 400 that is not getting spark on #2. I have replaced/adjusted the breaker points, and installed two NOS ignition generating coils. I have also confirmed that spark plugs, spark plug wires, and external coils are all good. Th...
