Help Needed with Ignition Points

Post by ThePurveyor »

Hoping that someone can tell me the proper way to connect coil wires to breaker points. There are some insulating washers on the breaker point terminals, but I'm not sure if you are to isolate connection to the main frame/bracket of the points or to the spring portion of the assembly. I'm having a problem with not getting spark after installing new points, so I'm thinking that this could be the problem.

Thanks,
John

The washers go on either side of the bracket. The spring has to make contact with the screw and wire.
