Fuel pick up

1980 trailfire 340 Fule pick up is broke off inside the tank. I need to pull plastic fitting out of the tank to install a new hose and pickup. Anyone know how it comes out? Do I just give it a good pull? Also does anyone know the factory setting on the air screw for the Mikuni carb? It is very boggy...

Fuel line coming off the tank has a filter next in line is a fuel pump off that the line has a T valve with one line running up to the primer switch then off the primer switch down to the fitting between the carb and intake and the other line off the T feeds fuel directly to the carb.

This picture shows the connection point of the refrenced primer I was referring to...the brass fitting was just pushed down inside the rubber gasket and had sealant globbed across the top of it...I pulled the sealant off and ran a drillbit down thru the hole and inserted that green tube you see in t...

Downloading pics?

Could someone explain to me how to load a few pics of my sled on this site? I am new to this sled rebuilding and if I could put up a picture of the area i refer to in my questions, would perhaps make things easier for both parties to comprehend what I am asking. thanks in advance..dar

Its back in after some serious cussing and loss of skin...i put the airbox in first, then pressed ths carb into the manifold boot, then wiggled and cussed and wiggled and by the good grace of God the rubber boot slid back into place between the carb and airbox...I'm amazed it went thru all this unsc...

I'd like to know if I can do away with reinstalling the breather box on my trailfire...the box that sits in front of the carb...any suggestions?? Do I put the box in first or the carb then the box?
