77' Cyclone Vent Foam?
Did the 77' cyclones come with foam strips on top and outside of the lovered panels that face you at your knees? I just repainted mine and they came out awesome however in doing the prep work I noticed what appeared to be old adhesive on those two sides. Top and outside edge. If there was/is suppose...

production numbers on this sled seem to be very low. 2000 as far as i can tell. is that accurate? i have not seen the sled yet but seller says it has 400 original miles, is a '77 340 and ran awesome until the gas tank cracked a few years back. 2 questions...........assuming sled is in decent conditi...

wade, thanks for chiming in and making me feel better. i guess im nbot a complete idiot! LOL but yes you know what im talking about. i got it to go in last night after sanding down between the crack. finally one end of the cable popped in. with alittle WD-40 and the help of a flat blade screw driver...

no......thats the easy part. i got that. the cable seized up witout me knowing it. when i went to ride the after a few days i went to use the brakes and the lever snapped(it was badly craked when i got it) it was only a matter of time before it let loose. so i had to take the brake cable off the mac...

cyclone brake cable reinstall issue
So exactly how does one get the cable back into the grip so i can hook it to the new lever i just got? the only way i can see is to slip the cable into the little "slot" in the grip housing but the freeking thing wont go in. there just isnt enough room. it came out that way rather easy.......

i have a '77 and they are a blast to ride. Suprising how nippy they are. i wish i had 180 miles of rideable terrain here. dealer porked you. Take your business elsewhere even if they are the local dealer. If his word isnt any good then what the hell would be? take it as a lesson learned, maybe even better off for you in the long run.

need brake lever for cyclone
went to go ride....pull the brake lever and it finally let loose. was cracked when i got it. cant fix this one broke right across where barrell hooks up.
anyone got one used or new? got a solid 60 miles without a failer until this morning.

i have new kill and dimmer switchs. the plastic housing that holds everything together is busted, cracked and missing pieces. it broke all orund the set screw and the hole throttle controls spins on the bars. they need to be replaced. so im dont need switches just the grips. i dont even need the thu...

im looking for a good non cracked/broken throttle grip. mine just crumbled today. set screw is lost and all the plastic around it is broken anyway. PM me if your interested in selling a set. id take a nice brake side also. thanks.
