Re: White plastic tanks and water bottles

I've used bleach and baking soda mixed together as kind of a paste. It worked pretty good actually. I used it on my rear tank on my Dator and my coolant bottle. Definitely not out of the box new, but a lot better that's for sure.

Re: Opinions on too restore or not to restore

I would say you're good to go on cleaning up that kind of stuff. Survivors just can't be "over cleaned" which basically refers to polishing the tunnel or touch up paint. I would say probably no on the hood foam, but I'm not 100 percent sure on that. Keep in mind that at some shows, Waconia...

Re: Opinions on too restore or not to restore

You're correct on the windshield. Like I said at Waconia they're very strict on the survivor sleds with only a handful of sleds being able to compete in that class. Other shows may be a bit different on the requirements though. As far as polishing the tunnel, if you don't plan on trying to show it a...

Re: Opinions on too restore or not to restore

I can't speak for other shows other than Waconia, but I am quite familiar with the rules for there as I have judged many times there. The Survivor class is by far the most strict class. My understanding has always been that practically nothing cosmetic can be done to the sled with the exception of a...

ISO Grab Handle Plates

Hey everybody, I'm looking for the chrome plated plates that go over the grips on the Cyclone, Liquifires, 340/S, and 295/S. The part number is M65321. I could really use a decent set for my rider 340/S so I can bolt some grips on it for the winter so it looks a little more original. They don't have...

Re: Liquidator Hand Grip

Repop grips would be awesome to have. On My Dator I was able to slowly work out the ring by working it out with some picks. Then I did like Brian said and bored out the hole and epoxied in the ring. It worked out awesome.

Looking For Some 340/S Gaskets

Hey everybody, I was wondering if anyone has some gaskets they'd be willing to spare for me and my rider 340/S. I was trouble shooting an ignition problem with the trigger and noticed that the motor could also use some fresh head gaskets, intake gaskets, exhaust gaskets, and even some motor mounts. ...

There's a NOS 77 Cyclone tunnel down in Missouri too that would be perfect for this project.

Re: WTB Trigger

See I had always thought that they were the same too, but the newer ones are much lower resistance. Now keep in mind, I'm not talking about the round plug vs. the square plug as they are the exact same just different connectors. The one in question is the early prestolite used in the 295/S and 340/S...
