Re: Sportfire Oil Injection Pump Question

OK guys I have answered my own question with a little digging into some service information bulletin at work. I came across a Sib titled identifying pump arms. It says that the pump bodies of the Am55406 and the Am55407 have different output calibrations and must not be interchanged. It also says th...

Re: what your sleds nickname?

Most of the boys I ride with have big engine snowmobiles, or newer Arctic Cats, so they deemed the name for my 81Trailfire "THE PISSED OFF WEEDEATER" by the sound of it zipping across the field wide open.

Look what the Trailfire Pulled Home!!!!

Big Bad John had to rescue a dead kitty cat in the field and pull it home. It was pretty heavy for the old Trailfire to handle, but we made it. The Arctic Cat did not fair out so well we found it completely fried the E.C.U. for some reason. Couldn't resist had to snap a picture of the rescue rig in ...

83Sportfire Crankcase Question

Tore my 83 Sportfire engine down, and found the crank bearings sounded a little dry when I roll them over, and it also appears that the O-rings are split and cracked on the center of the crank. When I split the crankcase halves I noticed where the roller bearings for the crank sit in the crankcase h...

Just bought a Trailfire for Parts

I went to the local scrapyard today hauling some metal, and there it was sitting near the crusher. Couldn't pass it up, 440 motor has good compression, and it had electric start, I will use on mine. Paid $120 dollars for it, brought it home and took some parts off of it for my trailfire. I looked at...
