i swapped out the old voltage reg. right after it happen hoping that was the case(i happened to have a NOS VR hanging around) it didnt help anything
would the coils from a 340 liquid be the same as the 440? just in case i have a bad coil i have a good 340 on the shelf i could steal from

80 LF lost lights and tach last spring

I lost power to my lights and tach, all wires tested good to the plug, am i in for an engine pull?

1980 liquifire lights and tach not working . . . ideas?

hey guys and gals, i was out with my liquifire on a relic run this weekend and lost my lights and tach on the way home, what would cause both these failures at the same time? any ideas? thanks

WTB 1980 Liquifre Parts

Hello fellow JD sledders im looking for a few parts, i need a belt guard/clutch guard, and a brake light switch, thats the little switch which activates the brake light when the brake handle is pulled so i can get my LF trail ready once again.

Ice racing does come to mind quite often, i live near some ice ovals, and a few friends of mine have started building ice oval racers, one with a 500 indy another with a 600 artic cat, ive been thinking about getting in the mix

a very well thought out opinion, ive already got it on 38 mm carbs and unipods, and bought it with tuned clutchs and 340 trailfire gears and am about to pick the track, to help with the traction problems it has, its a very fast realiable sled aat the moment, i was thinkin about investing in a second...

Ported high compression heads and tune pipes

had anyone done this? apperently there is a 25-30 hp gain to be had with a few mods, including 38 mm carbs head and tune pipes, just wondering before i invest the cash, are these gains realistic?
