Re: Liquifire stuck in my own yard

Ha, yeah I was out of time. I'll stop by this afternoon if I get all my last day errands run before I head back to work.

Re: 1981 Liquifire barn find

Guess I'm not the only JD sled owner in RL, what barn did you find it in!?

I have a very clean '81 as well that I bought from a member in WI on here.

Re: Tapering Rear of a Tunnel... Who's done it?

I say do it, but I live out west where we know why this has been done..... it snows! But I'm in the minority of the vintage sled market so if you're worried about resale back east don't do it. Personally, Allan's nicely done tapered tunnel from out west really caught my interest but once again I am ...

Re: CCW KEC 440/22 pistons

A very similar question has been asked recently.... Not sure if it was here or on FB. But several folks swear by wiseco and would never ever use SPI. Then others (and myself) have used SPI regularly with no issues at all. I have even used SPI on my 2002 RMK and it has ran great. Some say pretty much...

Re: New ads?

Yeah I have seen the ads on tapatalk.... Didn't realize that's what you meant. Tapatalk is nice to upload pics and such, but I prefer to use Safari on my iphone to catch up on JDsleds posts most of the time so I forgot about the ads you mentioned.

Re: painting 76 cyclone restore questions

My last time using paint from the JD dealer ten years ago we definitely thinned it..... Tom could probably provide more insight on what rate to thin it these days. Seems like I added about 1/3 thinner, maybe a little more if your good with a gun. Will run easier but dry faster!

Re: Snowfire not recommended over 4000'!?

Very logical again Rick.......

Yeah I'm very aware of temps in the spring when the pass opens in late May! Plenty of snow but temps can easily go into the 50's at 10,000'.....

Re: Snowfire not recommended over 4000'!?

I suppose by the time Snowfire's came around they had it figured out the F/A's didn't cool well at altitude and never recommended it again and never changed the literature for past F/A machines. Maybe someone else has more insight to this. Seems it would have been easier to just say it must be run a...
