Re: 1 or 2 Sprintfire throttle cables Wanted
Really good to know Monte!! Thank you. Not having any luck thus far on a Sprintfire cable. So with that said, perhaps someone out there has a cable for an oil injected Trailfire we can use as Monte suggested? Thank you...Rob.

Re: White Olympic Snowfire???
Jim. I remember many years ago seeing pictures of 1980 Trailfires used in the Lake Placid Olympics. They weren,t anything special over what we know now. They simply only had added a small decal on the machine that indicated sponsorship of the 1980 Lake Placid winter olympic games and the coloured ci...

Already checked in with Don Amber, but he didn,t have one for a Sprintfire. Anyone have extras? I am in Southern Ontario and can look ...

Re: Teaser photos
Mine had the same metal bracket as shown riveted on Don,s plastic dash panel, except mine was held on with screws that used a flat blade screw driver. The pivot points where it mounted to the metal bar on the sled were just a couple of scews using ny-lock nuts that the dash could swing on to open. H...

Re: Teaser photos
Pat, I have one of the "replacement" consoles from about 79 when John Deere began to offer guages and get rid of the short console. It does not have either the "John Deere" decal or the indentation for one. Guessing that came along a few months later. I should also say that this...

Re: Shipping large/bulky parts other side of border
Thank you Chris and Steve for your input. This is really good advice. I don,t really know of anyone close to the border, so a parcel would have to be sent pretty much to my post office, or courior right to my door. As I mentioned, I have never done something like this before so need to know if this ...

Shipping large/bulky parts other side of border
Guys. Any of you ever shipped or bought bulky parts like a snowmobile hood and recieved them from elsewhere. Wondering about costs and do,s or don,ts, exchange rates etc. Part in question would be a hood from the U.S. shipped to Ontario Canada. Just curious as I have never done anything like this be...

Re: Teaser photos
Fan cooled engine, 102c primary clutch, and Trailfire/ Sportfire style front bumper. Sportfire was slated to go TSS aswell. Very cool and thank you for sharing. Makes one wonder who had the TSS suspension on the books first, John Deere or Yamaha? Coinsidental, maybe?

Re: Teaser photos
You can see in the last photo a coil over shock on the forward arm, and a rearward shock much like todays technology. Way ahead of their time. Yes we do in fact show a chrome bumper in this better picture, but now we need to see more of the sled please...Rob.

Re: Teaser photos
Pat. The IFS Liquifire did in fact have a longer travel rear suspension. That was one of Deere,s improvements they did on this style chassis. Good eye on the extra travel, therefore I think we have a winner that this is infact an IFS Liquifire in these pictures. O.k believe we have solved the puzzle...
