1982 Liquifire Fuel Pump

Post by J Man »

Anybody know what the Mukini part number is for the Liquifire fuel pump and/or a JD/Mikuni part number for a rebuild kit? Thanks for the help.

Nope but chances are you can find it/them right here in our own www.newbreedparts.com store.

I am sure new breed has them. I think I have bought them before.

Fuel pump rebuild kit:

New Mikuni fuel pump (however the new version does not have a check valve like the originals so make sure you have a fuel shut-off valve in line)

Thanks for all the info. Spent the day digging around the internet and found a website that has the correct kit. The Kawasaki Invaders had the same type of fuel pump and I found it looking under parts for them. Not sure if it's a genuine Mikuni product, but it's alot cheaper than a new pump or the top diaphragm I found on ebay. Here's the link.

Maybe one of the moderators could post this on the Parts Sources page.

J man, glad you found what you needed. The moderator of this site also owns the parts site we recommended in New Breed snowmobile parts.

FYI, that's probally a LLP kit (the 417 part number is the give away). Don't forget to add the missing pin hole in the little flap. Hope you have better luck than I have rebuilding that pump. I have converted all of mine to the standard mikuni pump without the automatic shutoff, and added a shutoff valve.
80 Liquifire (purchased 1996 ~ Running)
80 Liquifire (purchased 2010 ~ Running....Now)
80 Liquifire (purchased 2011 ~ Not running - I officially have a problem now)
83 Snowfire (purchased 2014 father/son restoration project)
78 Spitfire ~ sold (should have been shot for this)

X2. I've never been able to get a rebuilt 5 plate pump to work properly.
