F/S 81 LF with all the 82 updates

Post by tjsdad »

Well, I can no longer ride due to a L5 vertibre in my back has gone really south. I have for sale a 81 Liquifire, here is what it has...
Rebuilt engine about 800 miles ago ( Wiseco pistons, new seals, gaskets, new cylinders, new carb boots), new carb o rings, jets, needle and seats, new mikuni fuel pump, all fuel, oil lines, new tach, HSR Ignition, Comet 108C with Thundershift weights, correct wide belt gears, 108 Woodys .875 studs with aluminum backers, trailfire seat w/o any rips or dry rot, backrest with a new seat back, all L.E.D. bulbs, thumb warmer, hand warmers, EGT gauge, 2 windshields ( one cut low and black, one mid height ), 82 square headlight, M 69170 belt, electric starter motor mounted, but never found the correct battery box, ski savers ( no darting ), and kimpex gas shock in the rear. New spindle bushings. Overload spring adjusters. It was repainted 2 yrs ago with base/clear and has custom striping ( just 1/8" vinyl stripes ), and a custom JD running deere logo painted on seat sides with grey vinyl paint.
I have a complete but apart spare engine, 2A Invader heads, spare HSR box, and spare HSR stator, spare ski springs, cables, rear suspension ( apart ), snow flap, handlebars, drive shaft, jackshaft, rear grab bar, and many small parts.
The TPR panel on the right side has a hole cut into it for AAEN pipes which it had when I bought it ( SOLD THEM long ago ), the left side TPR panel has a larger hole cut into it for the clutch bolt. The speedo quit working recently ( again ).
This sled has been a saint, it starts very easy, rides great, and has been very fun sitting back and letting my 9 yr old drive me around. It has never left me stranded. I have much more than into it than I am asking. I will consider a sale at $1000.00. Im located in south central Wisconsin.
leave me a PM or Email me at ralphy.furseth@frontier.com Thanks JDSLEDS!!

Ain't sayin' nuthin' yet.
But I'm keeping an eye on it.
Heading to Madison with the truck in June, but I doubt this will take that long.
Still love the color selection.
Sorry for the situation.

Is it possible to get the studs out without issues?
Not sure how, but I have to ask.

They are the traction master style, should come out with a good hex bit, I have had them in for 4 yrs, not one pull thru, but they are all in the center belt.
