Need some help

Post by Packers29 »

So today I worked on the trailfire today. I have a problem it starts with 1 pull on half choke good right. Well when I unchoke it the engine races can't figure out why?
So if someone could help that would be great.

Thanks

Your choke would be throwing more fuel at it (obviously) but how does your idle adjustment look?

What the service manual said 1 1/2 turns. But what I cant figure out is it runs fine on half choke but when taking that off it revs really high.

my next guess would of been an air leak like Viktory2k1 said, have you pulled the carb and cleaned her all up?

Check the rubber intake boot to see if it's cracked anywhere.

So I've decided to replace the crank seals. Since I don't know the history of the sled
