Hey guys,
My 76 Liqufire seems to have some bog issues, but I think the major issue is worn out primary and secondary springs. What colours are most guys using, and is there still secondary springs available aftermarket or only nos?
Thanks

Black spring, " R " weights and the standard blue secondary spring. Also, switch the carb throttle slides to 2.0

I'm also looking at rebuilding both of clutches. Where does one acquire these parts?

I'd really like the secondary spring, but I haven't found it aftermarket anywhere??, good call on the slide, I never really adjusted it yet. I also need new shoes for the secondary, I see Matt has them but I need before next weekend

Well I got the primary spring and cam shoes locally, but is it just me or are these aftermarket shoes garbage? I broke 3 with just a light tapping into the clutch which was all dissasembled. The originals all came out in one solid piece no issues after who knows how many years in there. I'm glad I pulled my secondary because the one on the sled was garbage, the inner sheave was seizing on the shaft and not opening correctly, luckily I have a few spares.
Also my new primary spring was a solid inch taller, I hope it right.. Fits and the sled runs, but definitely higher pressure. I dropped my needle to the 3rd from top but still getting a bit of bog off the line, but open it up and she goes like stink.
Next onto the Spitfire secondary for this Sundays relic run!
