Anyone know specs on the after market LF electronics? I'm getting some high readings but it did have spark.

The ignition coil has the same ohm specs as the original. The only thing that looks aftermarket is the cdi box.

Ok thanks pat! So is primary and secondary windings the same as high and low speeds? Also according to the primary test on the ignition coil you touch blue and brown wires to get .37 ohms but I always get .7 ohms doing that.....but if I touch blue/blue I get .4 ohms...I'm really guessing that it's the ignition coil failure after heating up cause the LF is very fast for the first 5-10 min of riding and then she starts loading. And the cdi either works or it doesn't correct?

Are you sure you have the ohm meter set correctly?

The Kawi cdi can and has been known to do different things when it begins to fail. I had one that cut out when hot randomly.

Does you meter actually show zero when you touch the meter leads together?

Cheaper meters are known to be a little off at the low end.

its probably under $20 meter from menards, and I believe I do have it set right when testing, It tests exciter and pulser perfectly and secondary winding correctly just not primary winding for some reason....I have a aftermarket CDI and some original used ones that I can try as well as aftermarket ignition coils and original used coils, I really am betting on heated up electronics but I need snow to take her out and test performance!

Motor looks great. What did you use to clean it? We just got a Cuda parts washer at work, and I am going to try that on my next crank case and heads. The jugs are always clean when they return from being plated. What all did you do to it? I am glad to see that I am not the only one to purchase so many sleds in one year. Your work area looks as cramped as mine! Later Lincoln

She cleaned up real nice Guy.

Good to see the grease and oiler close by.

Prelubing everything on reassembly is key.
