Liquifire Secondary Clutch

Post by haleynj »

Quick question, will an 82 trailfire secondary work in place of a 82 liquifire secondary? My secondary is caput have the spare, can not see any difference at all unless it is the sping. That can be easily replaced. Not able to find a model number on either so hoping someone would know :) Once thats answered on to finding a new drive belt :)

Nathan,

The original 82 Liquifire driven has taller towers for the 1 3/8" belt over the 80-81 Liquifire and 79-84 Trail and 80-84 Sport driven set up for the 1 1/4" belt. It also has a 44 deg helix, but I think the spring is the same.

I hope this helps,

Using a rebuilt TR-800. So for Joe's response, i can take the top portion from the LF secondary and move over? Issue i have is the shieves are done for and can not heat/pull bully them into coming apart. Super excited will be the first snow this has seen in over 15 years. Engine runs strong cant wait to go play on it.
