Graphics

Post by WinnipegStPaul9 »

In every restoration the most stressful part to me is installing the graphics. There's just no margin for error. Knowing that I only use Mark Olan's AFE Graphics (jdsleddecal.com). It's still stressful but at least I know the product is good. Thanks Mark!!

I agree Don, I get nervous just putting on yellow stripe! The big decals you are putting on would freak me out! They look great once they are on though!

Marks decals are great. A few years back I sent him a pair of NOS tunnel decals for the 83 Sportfires. He repopped them, sent me a set, and returned the originals for a great price. We both got what we needed. I'd like to hear about everybody's techniques for applying hood decals. I had one hell of a time with wrinkles where the bump out in the hood is.

I've had pretty good luck floating them on with Windex. I use a light mist of Windex on the hood, lay on the decals, then squeegee out the Windex with a body filler applicator. The original formula with ammonia works best.

BTW that's one sweet looking tunnel. Can't wait to see the rest of the sled!
