After a year long wait...the time has arrived! A group of early arrivals are already up in the UP putting on miles. After doing the race in Thief River Falls, Rainville should be pulling into St Germain Sunday night.
They are reporting 12 or so inches of new snow in the past week, with more forecast this week. Trail reports are that they are as good as they get. Temps this week are forecast to be seasonable, no Polar Vortex, so all in all, it is looking like a great event!
Many dollars have been spent here ( as per usual ), truck repairs, some major repairs to the trailer, sled repairs and up grades, and I know I am not the only one, a whole bunch of us have been stimulating the economy as of late.
The wife and I will be departing early this year, spending much of the week in the north woods, and we can't wait! There are already stories to tell, and no doubt many more will be added in the coming days. Come on up to the snowy north woods of Wisconsin and join in the fun!
See you there!

I cannot wait.... my departure is Wednesday morning. I'm thinking Dave and I need to start leaving on Tuesday so we get an extra day of riding. The adventures some of the guys have been sharing sound awesome!! Don't think I'll be able to sleep till I get there!
And so far, this year's weather and conditions look nearly perfect!! That's a far cry from my first event in which we were riding in 45 degrees and the trails degraded rapidly, leaving no where to ride on Saturday. But, we all know weather is a gamble and we take what we get! See you there!
