Yes, it looks like Facebook has become the main source of information but this website will hopefully live forever. Thanks for all you do Matt !!

I do toooo :beers;

And when it comes to facebook for help... it sucks! You can only get help if you are lucky enough that someone who knows the answer to your question see it the same day, otherwise it's totally gone. It's history already the next day :twisted:

So the forums have so much to offer when it comes to information. It's only a "slower" media, but in the long run so much better :dance:

I check in fairly often, and I direct certain questions that come up on Face Book back to this site. The fatal flaw of FB seems to me is the inability to really archive anything. The same questions get asked over and over without any easy way to direct guys to the material.

I have actually went back and re-wrote or added to various posts and FAQs written here years ago, to direct these guys back to rather than writing the same replies over and over. It is the best solution I have come up with. There is a lot of good info on this site, although some of it seems a bit dated looking back now.

The amount of interest in JD sleds in the last year or so on FB surprises me. Don and Matt have privately confirmed this is real, as that interest has translated into significant increases in parts sales. I view that has a positive for the hobby.

And yes, Matt deserves our thanks and support for keeping the site going. After all, this is the place on the internet where I met all my bubbies that I hang out with. :roll:

This is my go to spot for technical reading and just to learn about JD Sleds in general. I’m here every other day or so... sometimes more!

I check in 2-3 times a week just to see what might be happening. Usually someone asking a question and sometimes I have a useful reply....

I agree with all the comments! The tech help and the general talk is INVALUABLE! So many times I’ve tackled problems by looking how folks here have done it cause we all run into inevitable road blocks.

Here’s another thing about this site… the Deere family runs deep and wide. Everyone is willing to help everyone else out with information. This site is a repository for that collaboration. I know some guys who are into Scorpion sleds, and it seems help and info is held much closer and hard to come by. Nothing against Scorpions or their following, just our family is the best at communicating.
