What year 340? Gear ratios are model year dependent along with the clutches. The LX first arrived for 1982 with 1981 build dates stamped on the tunnel.

The chassis is an 82 but that’s the issue I have not knowing the year of the motor….gearing in the sled now is 21/39
Center to Center on clutch’s looks to be 11 5/8 or 9/16
Don’t know if that’s right or the offset….or if the clutch’s are even from a 340…..any help is what I’m after …thanks for you replying

vintagesnow.com has all the technical manuals for these sleds. I would clutch, gear, and jet it according to like a 1982 and it should run fine as long as airbox is in place. They have information for aligning motor and clutches in there as well. Very valuable site for the vintage sled world.
