440 engine speed

Post by S_Kyle »

A friends dad always said his liquifire would do over 100 mph, I though he was streching it just a bit. I geuss not, apparently he did some work to the motor and broke 100 mph until he spit the track and scraped the sled.

Peter, Just look at the numbers around the outside (not the inside smaller ones) of the speedo  LOL

I have no idea how you guys do 100 mph with throttle left in it yet, I could see 100 kph but not mph.

Guys,

By chance is anyone forgetting the outside numbers on the LF speedo is METRIC in KPH? The MPH numbers are on the inner side of the gauge and are smaller and harder to read. A stock good running, set up an tunned LF should be able to hit mid to upper 80's, maybe low 90's on a lake, but getting above that would require some serious work.

The main thing we might be forgetting...is that the younger you are the faster the speed becomes when you tell the story. At least I'd like to think all are literate and can read the speedo!!
