LOL  Born in 69, drag raced an El Tigre 440 with a 400 hood (belonged to my brother) in 1984 in the 12 and under class, and got smoked by some 10 year old ( he really was 10 ) on a new 1984 LF. Dreamed of owning one for years. I now have 2. Kinda makes me wonder about how crazy things were when people would unleash their kids on a 65 hp machine, and then buy them a new ATC!!

My first ride on a snowmobile was in 1980 , my neighbor just bought a brand new trailfire 440 which he used to take me for rides, after that I had the "bug". I then bought a used ski doo 340 which actually never gave me any problems. My neighbor still has the trailfire and now I have one too, It is only 1 serial number different.I am almost done restoring this 25 year old but it is making this 39 year old tired! When done with the restore I might post some picks.I also have a 27 year old kawi invader 340 and a 24 year old kawi invader 440.

I was afraid I was going to be the old man on the group, turns out I'm just one of the old men on the group!

;)
I recently had a birthday, they claim it was my 47th

:(

The first sled ride I can remember was in the late 60s. Evinrude or Johnson on lake Wisconsin. By '69, several relatives and friends had sleds, My Aunt let me drive her Panther around the yard when I was probably 11.
Pop bought a '72 400 in the fall of '71, ( I was in 7th grade ) and a used '72 400 in the fall of '72. Only sleds we ever owned. They ran into the mid '80s.

im 19. i got my 81 spit last year. growing up we always had 3 snowmobiles in the back yard, none of them ran one didnt have an engine. i have no clue what they were but i loved sitting on them and pretending to ride. my dad got rid of them and bought an 80s yamaha with a 340 about 4-5 years ago and that was the first i actualy rode. i have been obsessed with snowmobiles ever since and only wish i could spari more money to sink into them.

41 Here so that sorta makes Me an old guy compared to a lot of others. First real ride by myself was on My friend's uncle's 300. Bought My 440 Trailfire brand spankin' new in '81 and took all kinds of grief from My buds who all had Bombers (Moto-Ski's).
Wrenched on Polaris for a living in the mid 80's but always stayed with My Deere. Got away from sleds till last year since there wasn't too may good winters around here for sleds.
Got the Trailfire out last season and now the fire is re-ignited since I just bought an '83 Sprint that I'm going to bring back to life this next few weeks.

I am 44 and the fist time I rode a sled was back in '79. it was a 500 and was sold as we couldnt get it to run well and it needed a track.... I just bought a 400 this yr and got caught up in the sledding before we even had snow. I now own a liquidator along with the 400. What a blast!
