i have a 4hp briggs go kart that that the gas line has fell off or something happened inside the tank, it will run when i pour gas into carb but not on the tank
i think the carb has to be taken off and then the gas line to be put back on,
anyone done this and can somebody explain the best way to do so thanks dustin

take the tank off along with the carb and just clean them to perfection make sure everyting is were it should be and slap it back together.

the gas line fell off inside, fixed that today and it started right up, it doesent want to rev up tho, i dont have a clutch on and i know that it will mess it up alittle, but i hold the gas down for a second it will rev up, but any longer it will like bog down and start popping???

going to give this thing some color, you guys got any ideas, i want it to be something john deere

Sweet lookin cart.....it'll look better when it's green. As for a clutch, go for a Comet Torque-a-Verter drive set up. It comes with a drive clutch, driven clutch . belt and an output sprocket. The clutches mount into an aluminum housing plate that bolts right onto the PTO side crankcase cover of just about any briggs or tecumseh. Those little engines put out really good with the torque converter drive....far better than just a centrifugal clutch.

Go to the hardware store and find bolts that will fit into the carb and that are long enough to go through the tank. Also might want to get a new gasket first. BOB

they had like a square end, hardware hank have something like that??? or anything will work with the threads right

which one is further apart in chain link spacing-35 or 41 thanks dustin

#40 chain is larger than #35 but #41 is smaller than both.
Makes no sence to me but that is the way it is.

#40 and #41 have the same length between pins, but #40 is wider and more heavy duty. #35 it the smallest of the three.

i got a 35 clutch and the sprockets were to small on the clutch( chain didnt fit), what is the next size to try, i can post pics of the chain and old clutch if needed thanks dustin
