It is a 1973 440 axle fan Kaw. This machine has been out side forever, some rust on steel parts. I am even having trouble getting the two halfs of the axle fan pulley off.
On the flywheel I have been using a steering wheel puller with grade 8 bolts and an elec. impact wrench, lots of heat and pen. oil. Won't budge. Any risk of riping the threads out of the flywheel? Could it be I am not getting enough torque out of the electric impact wrench?
PS This is an Arctic Cat engine, had it on "other brands" but no bites, sorry.

Yea thanks, I read that. I decided to just clean the points through the flywheel slots and go from there. It does run and the spark looked pretty good. I just wanted to change the points and condensors anyway. I am usually able to get the flywheels off, so this is a first for me.
