You are correct Matt, the left spring had a little sag to it.

Horicon Joe picked this sled up from Deere engineer Lee Hardesty a couple of months ago and it is very unique for sure.

Lee drag raced this sled with his son in Iowa before he moved to Horicon. He was employed at Deere at the time
and had full accecess to all parts as he designed engines for the snowmobiles. It has the original aluminum skis made in down town Horicon factory along with his 295s shown. It also has the belly tank from the factory 295s race sleds.
Prototype carbs, twist grip ........ neat sled and glad I got it.

Actually Kenny, Joe R hauled it from Wanie's to A1. I can't wait to see it restored (and ride it).

What size engine in it? It looks to be free air.

Joe, what does it have one of the little 295/S tanks mounted in the belly?

It is one of the team race sled tanks for the 295s made specifically for the belly pan.
Not the one in the glove compartment.

Wow, OK I see now.. On that 295/S it looked like the grill was cut for the exhaust? was that a special exhaust also?
