Piston markings

Post by tipitup »

I took the pistons out of a 80 sportfire and am having questions as to whether they got back in the right way. there is an arrow and an E on the top of them. I have the arrow pointing to the E which is toward the exhaust. Let me know if that is correct.

thanks

thanks, you wouldn't happen to have a picture on the timing marks for the sportfire. I having trouble with it starting and it was suggested that the timing is off.

the lf cdi should work fine I used a trailfire cdi on a kawi invader which has a similar motor as a lf just make sure theres 2 wires white and a red that will plug into the stator a 3 wire connector for the coil and should have a black and a brown wire that go into the engine connector the brown will have a pigtail wire that gets grounded to the case
