Hood edge molding

Post by JDGuy »

Some triva for what it is worth:

In attempt to do a 100% NOS "perfect" 80 Liquifire restoration, I needed some vinyl hood edge molding in which I could not find NOS. After several hours of web search and finding expensive 400 foot rolls that looked like the right stuff, I finally found a source that is a perfect match and they only charge $1/foot +regular rate UPS ground, no shipping holdups with big handling fees and etc. One sled needs a little less than 4 feet. Should you be interested the source is as follows: (yep, Flordia, heavy snow-sled country!!!)

Danno Enterprises
www.dannoenterprises.com
Port St. John, FL 32927
321-452-8101

The order no. is a follows:
part # 0708, quick edge - black 1/8" GR (7500 0708)
Special order - non stock item.

Industrial supply houses also carry it. It is called safety trim or push on trim edge. I got mine from: http://www.mcmaster.com/ ~ page:3537

Also seen it being sold at: Tampa Rubber & Gasket Co., Inc.
