Has anyone here ever ran a Yokohama track backwards? what can be expected besides more aggressive traction??
Does anyone know why Yokohama recommends running them in the direction that they do??

Do Anti-War Protesters have reunions? If so what do they TALK about?

I think one would loose a lot of braking control unless you had it studded.

Well looks like I will be the guinea Pig on this one. I will run it backwards and report.

Kenny~
I'm going to run my track backwards on my Hot Rod Liquifire project sled for more traction, but I am going to use the JD stud pattern also with 7/8" Woody's studs. I don't think it would hurt anything, unless the track or sprockets were already heavily worn from going the standard direction for thousands of miles.

Re: Info on Yokohama track
I was told the Yokohama track was originally intended to run in the more aggressive direction but the sled would tend to bury itself in powder snow. The solution was to turn the track around to the less aggressive direction, which was contrary to what engineering thought was logical, because it looked " backwards ". This scenario was discovered purely by accident, but it worked!

Re: Info on Yokohama track
I heard this from the Hayes brothers directly during final testing in 1979.There was at least one Black Traifire sighted around the time of the Derby that year. It did not have a fan cooled engine!
