need help with my 1974 jdx4 special
i have been running light boulbs through my jdx4 four 4 years now and i am sick and tired of it and i need some help.i put a new boulb in and the light gets bright and then it blowes i need help

well ... one main ground on the fan tower near the six pin square plug thats were most everything grounds to , the regulator hangs up above the primary though ,hmm ill look at mine wade

it is bolted to the fan tower under the external coils.

Replace the voltage regulator. My X4 Special was doing the same thing when I bought it.....replaced the voltage regulator and all lights work as they should. The voltage regulator is located under the instrument panel, on the left side. It should be a single wire regulator and grounds to the frame where it mounts.

yah i kinda figurd it was the voltage regulater and i think its time to replace it its now fun chaseing coyotes in the dark.
