I just got back from a ride. It's pretty wicked out there, but I mannaged to put some miles on. My bosses are expecting me in tomorrow whether I drive the Expy or the Deere. I can't tell how much snow we've got so far because it's drifting pretty bad.

It's pretty crazy here too in Lowell. Gas stations were packed all day and the grocery store shelves are looking pretty bare. I'm all fueled up and ready to go. The kids are pretty excited too.

Re: Listen up snow gods...I need snow

I feel four pain Danzig. No snow since December here either. The national weather service just changed from a winter storm warning to a blizzard warning expecting 12" to 24" by the time it's all over. :letitsnow: :thinksnow: :letitsnow: :thinksnow: :beers; :beers; :thinksnow: :letitsnow: :...

Thanks for the post Nick. The track I got came from a parts sled, I also got the tunnel protectors from it. They are a must if putting studs in.

Re: studs in a deere track

I put a used track on my 80 Liquifire that had studs already in it. I don't know what kind were used. It was 10 years between the time I started working on it till I got it running with the different track. I can't really say how much it really helped because I can't remember how it was before it di...

I can't take the credit for figuring out that the sunpro gauge works in this application. Someone else on this site suggested it to me, but I can't remember who it was.

Re: Looks like I get to try out my Liquifire for the first time!

Got over 6 inches here today......but could use more. This stuff is super fluffy and light. I need a temp guage for my Liquifire as well. I think after 5 miles or so, the guage shoulda moved by now. I'm useing a sunpro temp gauge from advanced auto. $17.99 It fits the hole perfect. The line is long...

Re: How much $ for a 80 Spitfire?

Thanks for all the feedback on this topic. It looks like I'm the proud new owner of an 80 Spitfire. Yesterday I explained to the lady what ya'll been saying about the machine as in what she could expect to get for it and what would be involved in getting it in a trail worthy riding condition. Today ...
