WTB Muffler for 76 Model 400
I need a new or used muffler for my 1976 Model 400 snowmobile. The sled was manufactured 6/75, model J400E, Serial Number 56447M, and has the 340 CCW Kioritz reed valve motor with electric start. When checking on the JD website, I found 2 P/N, so I am not sure which one is correct. The pipe that con...

Re: BSE engine in a '73 Moto-ski
The BSE motors where made by the same company in Japan that made the CCW Kioritz motors used in our JD sleds. Many parts are interchangeble including the pistons. Several BSE motors were made by Rotax, the 400 F/A motor used in the 74-75 Moto-Ski TS400, same motor as used in the TNT F/A, and the 73-...

Most JD sleds I have seen at a vintage show here in Canada. The 3 sleds which stood out in the crowd were Peter's 83 Liquifire and Toymech's 80 Liquifire and 81 Trailfire. There was a very rare 84 Sportfire also in attendance, a 295S clone and the Dator, which the present owner purchased in N.H. Dee...

1974 JDX8 and 800 Dealer Installed Kit
We are far apart on this deal and the kit is not complete, no CDI or tach and there may be other parts missing. He said he wanted 3 to 5, I assumed he meant $300 to $500, he actually meant $3000-$5000. He was not impressed when I offered him $200!! But at the tops to me the parts are only worth mayb...

1974 JDX8 and 800 Dealer Installed Kit
I have been negotiating with a dealer here in Canada for his sled parts, he has this large box which I beleive was a "200" kit or something similar. I know there were heads, a stator and some other parts. What was the problem with these sleds? Why was this kit supplied? As usual this fello...

80 Liquifire Track Installation Into Trailfire
Thanks Joe, this may be a Canada Special 340, as you may know I am in Canada. How can you tell if its a Canada Special Trailfire? I plan on reinstalling the Trailfire Suspension and see if it works. If it does work,I will again remove it and and redo the whole suspension. If not I will look for a us...
