Re: Liquifire: 80-81 VS. 82-84?

Re: Racing help from the JDSleds faithful Winnepeg 1-500
I think you guys worry too much about the front leafs, granted we did snap some bolts that held the Multi-Leaf springs togather on the Dators but once Deere came out with the Mono-Leafs we didn't have anymore problems, It probably helped that we had the front suspension spring cranked right up tight...

Re: Replacement hoses
rob, I believe the part numbers are the same. This past winter Chris & I fabricated a couple of Dator air tubes from scratch, I think that they turned out to be as good looking as the Chinese ones I had repoped... If someone can send me one from a trailfire or sportfire I'll try them out when I ...

jdrob, that could be a possibility, but I think that the airbox screens would also be a good repop???

Re: Racing help from the JDSleds faithful Winnepeg 1-500
Jon, although I agree with the choice for the reliability, I have my doubts about the speed of the Cyclone for which you professional ditch runners are accustomed to, & unlike the 340/S engine I don't think that the gearing can be raised to gain speed without sacraficing the power of the Cyclone...

Re: C/C distance on a 80+ liquifires
Huh, I looked in there & didn't find that info, thanks for spotting it for me..
I was afraid of that, thats still over 1/2" shorter than what I need.
The project I'm working on has a 12.5" C/C distance..
Thanks for the info... I'll have to look at other brands

RE: M66848 & M68313 Support, Snow Flap
What is the diference between the M66848 & M68313 Snow Flap Supports? Is It that the M66848 is made from tube & the M68313 is made of rod? Will the M66848 work for a repopped replacement for the M68313? Would it make any difference to you guys IF the M66848 Snow Flap Supports were 1 MM large...

C/C distance on a 80+ liquifires
Anyone know what the C/C distance is on the crank to jack shaft on a newer Liquifire? Is there a differance on the C/C distance on the Liquifires with the TR800 clutches? Are the belts longer on the sleds with the TR800's? What would be the easiest way to figure out a belt length on a sled with a 12...
