I got it figured out, the bracket really only fits one way with the upper part mounting over the chain case stud, I found one of the spot welds in the bracket was broke so it had spread apart wider than it needed. So just like the old saying get a bigger hammer :bonk: I replaced the bracket and fits...

So the muffler I have is not a Liquifire and I know the manifold is correct, so it might be the bracket. If I mixed up the muffler it would've had to be from an 80 Sportfire that's the only other sled I junked. I'm not sure if it would fit correctly though?? My problem is the rear of the muffler won...
