Most of us swapped the OEM ( Gauge type ) cap for a cap without a gauge so they could be removed quickly & the shaft part wouldn't brake off & fall into the tank.....

unless this sled is strictly for show & you want it to be correct, throw that shiny cover away because the clutch runs too hot with the cover on, I believe there is a Deere service bulletin on doing just that...

I think you could use Loc-Tite " Green, Sleeve retainer " Making sure everything is real clean & let set for 24 Hrs. to cure...

yeah Mikuni quit making them a few years back except for Ski Doo which uses a primer instead of the choke, so the choke hole on those is blocked off.. I have a few with chokes but I have a need for a couple more for a new project..
