Crankshaft seal Kohler 300
Hey Guys, Just wondering how the crankshaft seal on the PTO side is installed or does it matter? Should it be installed from the front side of the plate, picture 1, or the back side of the plate, picture 2? It is a very tight fit, any advice on how to press it into place? Thanks IMG_7988.jpeg IMG_79...

Re: Carburetor Maniflod Gasket
Thanks,
I guess that’s what I I’ll have to do.
I found out today that you can go to NAPA and they sel o-ring different sizes by the foot and they sell a type of glue that you can weld the rubber together too. So might just make my own.
Thanks fir the help.

Re: Need advice on how this engine looks inside
Yah I guess since I’ve gone this far might as well open it right up. You mentioned if that if the inner seals needs to be done that I can’t do it myself so how does one replace them then? Does the camshaft have to be taken somewhere? I’m assuming it because the bearings would need to be pressed off ...

Yes! success!
I took your advice and tapped on the flywheel with a hammer lightly and I ended up putting a little heat to it as well and then cranked on it till it popped off!
Thanks Guys

Re: Flywheel Removal! What am I doing wrong?
Oh man breaking the puller bolts!
Not something I want to do!
I was thinking about smacking the end of the large puller bolt but the service manual says not to do that as you can damage the crank bearings. Is that a concern?
Thx
