I found out today that you can go to NAPA and they sel o-ring different sizes by the foot and they sell a type of glue that you can weld the rubber together too. So might just make my own.

I took your advice and tapped on the flywheel with a hammer lightly and I ended up putting a little heat to it as well and then cranked on it till it popped off!

Oh man breaking the puller bolts!


Not something I want to do!

I was thinking about smacking the end of the large puller bolt but the service manual says not to do that as you can damage the crank bearings. Is that a concern?

I saw some guys use a torch to heat the flywheel? Can I do this? Im a little concerned with the stator right behind.

Hey Guys, things are going pretty well I have the engine out and am starting to strip it down have the Flywheel and Sheave to go. Tonight I tried to remove the flywheel. I removed the flywheel retaining nut and washers and installed the flywheel puller an started to wrench on the centre thread bolt ...
