yes the gaskets are not the same but the crank seals are on the 80 - 82 kawasaki motors. just need the crank seals and i have order them from pats.

thanks i figured that out after finding them at central snowmobile and getting a part number. They are listed under ccw engines and not kawasaki. Appreciate your response.

I am in need of a pair of crank seals for 83 sprintfire - M68074. I know they are the same as the 80 - 82 spitfire and i could get a complete gasket set, but i thought i would see if anybody had a set to spare or where i might find the seals by themselves before i spend the money for a complete set ...

thanks it is a 6 1/2 hour drive to you. I would be interesed in the hood. I have relatives in Richland Center if you ever get over that way and would like to drop it off there sometime that might work. Keep me in mind. There is an air box on e-bay too.

need sprintfire parts
My son bought a 83 sprintfire and we need a couple parts. We need an airbox and a coolant bottle for starters. We are going to need a hood since it didnt have one but will need to find one not too far away. We are in Knoxville IL about 45 miles west of Peoria. Any help would be appeciated. Thanks Joel

there is a radar run in Galesburg IL. on Jan. 17th at lake story on the north edge of town on hwy 150. I have run the last two years there, nice time. I tried to get the one from mfg supply but they said they were no longer available so got one from pats small engine. It did not say kimpex on it but the package said spi i believe. Hope it lasts.

Try going to your local DMV facility. They may be able to help you with paper work. In Illinois we can download the paper work from the DNR site.
