Re: 83 & 84 liquifires for sale at waconia

83 & 84 liquifires for sale at waconia
I will be be bringing my 1983 & 1984 Liquifires to sell at the waconia show. they are complete and original to the best of my knowledge. i bought them 2 years ago and they have just been sitting in the shed. i was able to get the 83 to run(poorly-carb issues?) last winter, have not tried the 84-...

Re: Ride the New Breed of Deere Bumper Sticker
why not make the decals with the leaping deere on them, and those that dont like it can cut off that end of the sticker before they put it on.

Re: 3/16 or 1/4 ID Fuel Line?
1/4" usauly, have used 5/16" for some stuff-have to use hose clamps as the spring clamps dont work as well
bigger is better right
larger size = less restistance to flow = better right?
i thought JD originaly used 1/4"

Re: trailfire motors
i dont believe there were any mechanical changes (pistons, cylinders, crankshaft, crankcase, heads) over the years other than the addition of oil injection and some changes with the ignition system. i'm not sure if adding kawasaki heads to the trailfire will increase HP like it does with the liquifi...

Re: ADDING REVERSE TO A 1980 TRAILFIRE
A second problem would be that the stock starter uses the starter case as one side of the power, which is negative i figured there had to be something that would make it a bit harder- forgot about the case being the ground. -there probably isnt a way to insulate the starter case from the crankcase ...

Re: ADDING REVERSE TO A 1980 TRAILFIRE
i have thought about adding revese to a deere, probably the easiest way(possibly only way without major changes) whould be to find a way to adjust the timing and make the engine run backwards as two stroke engines don't care which way they run. it may require a sled with electric start that you can ...

Re: steering linkage freeze up
i've never had an issue with the steering freezing overnight or while riding although i always have snow coming in the vent while riding ditches. but i'm in central IL and the sleds get parked in the barn every night which is kept at at least 35 degrees. :brrr: :lol22: i know not practical for most ...

Re: just bought a 82 trailfire
after replacing the crankseals-pretty much a requirement unless you want to burn up a piston. the cleated track is the weakest point-especialy on a 440. i have 4 trailfires 3 440's and one 340. two of the 440's have broken the cleated track. one now has a liquifire conversion, the other a kimplex so...
