Snowmobile Museum - Naubinway, MI just off US 2

While traveling through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I stumbled onto a Snowmobile Museum in the town of Naubinway, MI. It is 2 blocks south of the blinking light in Naubinway, which is 42 miles west of the Mackinaw Bridge. They have some wonderful old sleds in there ! ! The sled I was most inter...

I am starting the restoration of my JDX4's and the brake and throttle levers are broken / cracked...any ideas as to where replacements might be found, or am I better off looking in bone yards??

JD learning curve

Well, as I have mentioned in another post, I'm kind of new to this...sort of..I had a JD 300 in 1974, but really haven't been too up to speed on the different models that were coming and going over the years... I realize NOW that the JD liquidator is a RARE bird to say the least..I thought I had stu...

Re: jd300

I measured about 16 inches from the front of the bumper to the tip of the skis on my JDX6...doubt there is much difference between it and the 300...over length is the same for both sleds....

Hope it helps..

Re: New to all of this - sort of

I have added a couple more sleds to the pile...a 75 JDX6 and a 76 Liquifire 340...I ordered a SM2100 manual today from the John Deere Dealer...I bought the CD version..It should be delivered in about a week...Cost about $42.00 - just an FYI I appreciate everyone's help and enthusiasm...even in June ...

Re: jd300

Overall Length:103.4 in (2.63 m) divide that by 12(inches) = 8.5 feet...
I have a full size bed..I have to either leave the tailgate down or lift the sled up to close it.

Re: JDX6

I just picked up a 75 JDX6. It looks like it's in pretty good shape considering it's age. It has a newer track ( 2/3) on it with "K"'s molded into the track. I only paid $50.00 for the sled, the track alone has to be worth that! The previous owner had some issues with the 'stator' and bega...
