Is it worth building?

I picked up a pretty roached 76 liquifire 340 to use as a parts sled. Its got most of the 340 left in it and I was throwing the idea around of building it into a 440, and put it in another liquifire. I want to build a sleeper hot rod sled, and am wondering what all can be done to the motor. High com...

I'm also looking at rebuilding both of clutches. Where does one acquire these parts?

Re: Deciphering a serial number

ok that sense now, but why did they stop at 70,000? If they started at 55,001 and only made 4141 machines that year, the last one would be 59,142 would it not?

Re: Deciphering a serial number

What number is it? That page states they started at 50,001 and went to 70,000 and they produced 4141 total machines in the 340 configuration. My question is there a way to tell what number it is out of the 4141 produced?

Deciphering a serial number

I was wondering if there's a way to decipher the serial number on my 76 liquifire 340? The number stamped in the tunnel read J34LE 058668M

Re: Wood seat frame

I don't have an old one to go by. Someone made a base out of plywood thats as wide as the seat foam so it sits on top of the heat exchangers instead of around them. If someone has pictures of one that would be awesome, I'd like to see how/what the seat cover attaches to on each end(over the tail lig...

Re: Wanted 76 liquifire parts

440Rat If you are looking for the chrome side handles and the back rest supports I have a set, came off a 76 Cyclone. Some rust and pitting on them. Once mounted you can easily determine the size of the backrest. I'm in the Detroit Lakes area, same state if that helps. Don O Any pictures and a price?

Re: Wanted 76 liquifire parts

Rear Grab Handle? Are you looking for a rear grab bar that runs from side to side or the black grab handles on each side of the tunnel? If it's the latter than you most likely won't find any "original handles" with three holes however the grab handles are available at several different so...
