I am intersted in the one with the Kohler motor. Is it still available? Could you pull the heads off and make sure cylinders are OK?
Thanks for any help.

jdrob,

I need a couple of cylinders and pistons for 80 Spitfire (kawi motor). Any chance you'd be willing to part with some?

What year is it? Kohler or Kawi motor? Where are you located?

Vintage Challenge List

Joe, Allen Teach was riding a 80 or 81 liquifire and Ryan Teach started on Sportfire (may have switched to Trail Twister). They are not from Eagle River area, but rather a small town in southwestern wisconsin (Gays Mills). I grew up in the same area and have ridden and raced with Allen several times...

Most of the dyno's were made by OTC. The "belt" on the dyno is actually a track off of JD snowmobile. Just park the sled to be dyno'd on top, mate up the tracks, tie the skis down and strap to rear bumper. The dyno track spins a hydraulic pump and then a needle valve provides the resistanc...

A real conundrum!

I am voting for crank center seal. I know you said that you replaced seals, but I'm guessing that the center seal was not changed and even if it was, still my vote.

look what followed me home

Didn't the 21 motors have a single bearing on the PTO end of the crank and the 22's have a pair?

I imagine there may be some folks intersted in those 295 carbs !!

Just watched the I 500 DVD

Any chance I could get a copy of the DVD? I would be willing to make some copies for others.

Watching those races really gets a guy in the mood to go out and bounce around on some leaf springers.
