building a late 70s 340 spitfire for my snow cross sled for the light weight and one have any information on aftermarket gears or where to get them ???

I think spit fires are direct drive the only gear is in the track
1983 sprintfire (original everything but paint)
1975 jd 400 (will be restored)

Ya, tough to get gears into a sled with no chaincase :P, adding a chaincase seems like blasfimy (sp) to me.....but I also dont know how much power the stock drivers and secondary could take if a larger motor was added. They had about 2"'s of travel so any jumping would require a lot of stiffening in the front and some sort of new skid design in the back.

They did come with either 7 lug or 8 lug drivers. That would be the only 'gear' change you could make.
